Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by! This is my little home on the internet, where I post about my latest manis, talk about nail polish, and occasionally review products that I have purchased. It’s not the best blog, nor the flashiest, but it’s a fun little place for me to indulge my love of nail polish!

About me:

I’m Kimber, and I am a nail polish addict!  I’ve gone through phases where I painted my nails constantly, only to give up when life became a bit hectic. This time, my polish addiction is here to stay, thanks in part to all of the lovely nail blogs out there that inspired me to try new things as opposed to just slapping on some polish and going on my merry way! It’s only been 3 months since I rediscovered the joys of nail polish as well as nail art, but I’ve come a long way in those 3 months, again thanks to all of you awesome nail bloggers out there! My polish stash is currently sitting at just under 300, which is nothing compared to some bloggers, but it’s a start!I love all polishes, from high-end polishes to the cheapest drug store polishes out there. My blog isn’t about the newest and baddest polishes, it’s just a place to share what I’m currently wearing and colors that I love. I wish I had time to swatch and review the latest collections, but since I don’t I’ll leave that to the pros out there! Trust me, if you’re looking for swatches and the latest trends, there are better blogs out there! I admit it! However, I love talking about polish and nail art, so please join me on my journey! I love comments, and promise to respond to them all. 🙂

I’m also a wife and mother. I have an amazing husband that supports my polish habit (he has bought me over half of my polishes!). He is my soul mate, and tolerates all of my quirks, my weird sense of humor, and extreme PMS. The man is a saint! I have 2 incredible children; a 10-year-old daughter, who just amazes me every day. She has Asperger’s Syndrome ( a form of Autism that causes her to have a deficit in fine motor skills as well as social skills), which has taught me to view the world in a different light, as well as how to stand up to those that are ignorant and mean. I spend a lot of time fighting for her; Asperger’s kids are bullied often and her school is one of the worst for bullying. I also try to educate teachers and staff about Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism in general. Hopefully this will help other Aspie kids now and in the future. I also have a 17 month old son, who is 100% mama’s boy! He’s an adorable little angel, and too smart for his own good. He is not autistic (autism is carried on the paternal gene and his father is my current husband, daughter’s father is my ex), and is very different from how his sister was at this age. I am blessed with both of them, and am able to see the world from so many different viewpoints because of them.  If there is anything in this world that I was meant to do, it’s be a mom.

My little family and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which I lovingly refer to as The Land of Entrapment! I’ve been here for over 20 years, despite several attempts to move. Albuquerque may not be the coolest place on earth, but it’s home!

I own a small business providing pet sitting and dog walking services called In The DogHouse Pet Services. Not the most lucrative business, but I’m my own boss, set my own hours, get to pick who I work with, and looooove what I do. I get paid to play with animals! How cool is that?  Prior to starting my business, I spent 4 years as a Board Certified Pharmacy Technician, and before that I spent 8 years as a Veterinary Technician, specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery, Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine.  Veterinary Medicine was my true calling, but I chose to give it all up in order to raise my daughter. Being a special needs child she needs me to be there for her and I couldn’t do that working 12-14 hours a day as well as being on call from midnight to 6 am. I do miss it, but I’m still working with animals and that’s what I love.

I hope that you’ll join me on my polish journey. I’m still learning, but I love sharing my progress with you all. Comments and tips are always appreciated!

As always, Happy Polishing!
